Tomorrow, 7th February 2007, I will give a technical seminar about the Ruby programming language. The seminar will be at Università Politecnica delle Marche at about 15:30 in DEIT department. The slides shown during the seminar will be freely released in the download section on my personal website.
Are there some programming languages which I don’t know yet? Yes!! There is Ruby! :). Even if I don’t like very high-level programming languages, today I have started to study hard Ruby and Ruby On Rails…because this will be necessary for my work into the Discovery project.
This year the third Italian Workshop on Semantic Web Applications and Perspectives (SWAP) will be held in beautiful Pisa (Pisa, 18-20 December, 2006). Don’t miss a chance for an exciting meeting held in a speacial time and place.
DBin 0.5 released!
November 7th, 2006Posted in: Semantic Web, Announcements, Job, Projects by Michele
DBin 0.5 “IronAugust” is released and displayed at ISWC as finalist of the Semantic Web Challenge! Now the knowledge created in the groups is made HTTP available as RDF. Faster P2P, Numberless improvements and additions. For more information see the officiale DBin website.
In these days I’m working very hard to refactor the system DBin console. At the end of the works it could be possible to have: a more powerful console; the possibility to specify by command line a file-script with a sequence of console command to automatically execute at DBin start-up.
This week is very hot! While the normal people goes to the sea…I’m here in my office and I’m working trying to correct some insidious bugs in DBin. Fortunately I’m not alone…my dear colleagues are also here with me…we are crazy!!
We are starting to speak about “next official DBin release’.
Brainlet Versioning System for DBin
July 7th, 2006Posted in: Semantic Web, Job, Projects by Michele
In the last week I worked on the Brainlet Versioning system for the DBin project. Now in DBin is possible to install/uninstall Brainlets in a very simple manner. This system is able to check if a new update Brainlet is available on-line. If there is a new Brainlet version available, the system is able to automatically download and install it after checking the ontology dipendency.
